Goat Run is a game by Jan Stepien (Legit software solutions). This page explains what the game does with information. The short version: there is no account, we do not collect your name or email, and the game does not track you across other companies' apps unless you allow it.
Your high score, Tin Cans, boosts, quests, achievements, settings and daily-reward progress are stored on your device only. We do not receive them. Deleting the app deletes them.
The game shows ads from Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google may collect your device's advertising identifier, approximate location (from your IP address), and information about how you interact with ads, as described in Google's advertising policy.
To find out which parts of the game work and which do not, the game sends anonymous usage events to Google Analytics for Firebase: for example that a run started or ended with a score, that an ad was shown, that a reward was collected, or that a purchase went through. Google also receives a random app instance ID, basic device information (model, operating system, language) and approximate location from the IP address. The events are not linked to your name, email or any account, and the game does not use your advertising identifier for them. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and some other regions this starts only after you accept in the consent form shown at start-up. See how Google uses data.
When you finish a run with a new personal best, the game posts it to a shared leaderboard so every player can see the top 100. What is posted: your score, a goat name the game made up for you (like "Brave Goat 4821"; you never choose or type one), and a random anonymous ID that the game created on your device. To post, the game signs you in anonymously with Google Firebase Authentication; there is no account, no email and nothing that identifies you. Other players see only the goat name and the score. The leaderboard is stored in Google Cloud Firestore. Deleting the app removes the ID from your device, and the old entry then simply stays on the board until others push it off.
Purchases are made through the App Store; Apple handles your payment and we never see your payment details. To confirm purchases and give you what you bought, the game uses RevenueCat, which receives a random anonymous app user ID, your purchase history for this app and basic device information. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
Goat Run is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent and think your child has given us information, contact us and we will help.
You can reset your advertising identifier or turn off tracking in your device's Settings → Privacy. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what information a service holds about you, to correct it or to have it deleted. Because we hold no personal information ourselves, requests about advertising data are best sent to Google, and requests about purchase data to RevenueCat; you can also write to us and we will point you the right way.
If we change this policy, we will update the date above.
